MAY 4, 2016 DISPATCH FAN NEWSLETTER
Good Evening, Planet Earth!
It’s been too long since I’ve sent you a proper DISPATCH newsletter and I want to start this one with 2 BIG Thank Yous:
1. THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support my Spring 2016 Tour in both the UK and Canada this past March. It was my most successful tour yet and over 12 shows I was able to perform for many of many longtime fans and meet lots of new ones.
No plans for any further touring this year except for our Will Black OPS: Escape To Wisconsin / TimmyFest on Sep 23 -25. Please consider joining us if you are in the area, I’ll be performing throughout the weekend there, plus lots of other cool group activities.
2. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed towards my most successful album crowdfunding campaign yet!
The Pledgemusic campaign for my 3rd rock album of original material called “Cry Like Hell” ended last week. The final result was 153% of my goal was raised and this allowed me to record 11 new songs to release on CD this Fall.
For those of you that pledged, you’ve already received the details to download the MP3 of the album right away.
The entire process of writing, recording & mixing the album took about 9 months beginning last August. It was a long exhausting process, during which we moved apartments, had a baby and I went on tour for 3.5 weeks.. but I’m really happy with the end result. I truly believe that you guys are making me living proof that an independent artist can survive and flourish in 2016 on their own.
Over this summer, I will be releasing each song individually on my website before the album goes public this Fall (ie. iTunes, Amazon, Spotify). The first song to be released is the title track “Cry Like Hell” and you can download it here.
I’m back to work now performing full-time at my house gig in Bermuda at Hog Penny Pub again. My 11th season back here and I’m thankful to be one of the few musicians on the planet with a steady house gig for over a decade now.
Expect more regular newsletters from me this year. Plan is for one blog based newsletter at the beginning of the month (just like this one) and then a shorter song / video one mid-month.
I consider it a privilege to have YOU on my newsletter mailing list, thanks for being a subscriber.
